Artist's Description
An essential and much-loved Porsche Classics element has been reintroduced. The professionals at Porsche Classic have recreated the Original Porsche Crest after significant investigation. The new crest remains authentic to the original's colors and materials, and it is, of course, "Made in Germany."
The horse from the official Stuttgart coat of arms is shown in the center of the golden plate, along with the city's name. The composition is framed by the red and black state colors, as well as the stylized antlers from the Württemberg-Hohenzollern crest. All of the design aspects are protected by the all-encompassing Porsche logo.
Ferdinand Porsche founded the car brand in 1931, with headquarters in Stuttgart. It is now owned by Volkswagen AG, which is itself majority-owned by Porsche Automobil Holding SE. The Porsche crest first appeared in late 1952 in the centre of the 356 Pre-A’s steering wheel.
