Description
Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument located two miles (3 kilometers) west of Amesbury on Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire, England.
Stonehenge is a British cultural symbol and one of the most well-known landmarks in the United Kingdom.
It was built between 3000 and 2000 BC. The earliest period of the monument, which consists of a circular earth bank and ditch, has been dated to about 3100 BC.
