Located in the heart of Rome, the Roman Forum is a rectangular forum or square. There are several significant historic government building remains all around it. The Temple of Saturn and the Arch of Titus are the most well-known among them.

Only on exceptional occasions, when large crowds assembled to greet the triumphant generals during military processions known as triumphs, was the west entrance Triumphal Gate used.

The Roman Forum served as the hub of the Roman Empire's public life for centuries. It once hosted several events, including elections, triumphant processions, and public speeches. This is where Mark Antony delivered his well-known speech and where Caesar was buried. Shakespeare was inspired by his speech to create The Tragedy of Julius Caesar.
